  1. Hey! I come back to leave a comment an I see the DC train 🙂

That's so nice of you guys

    It was a great show.

I feel sad about Superman "losing" his adoptive son, but at least he's not dead.

I really enjoy Stephanie as Batgirl, she is a fun charcther.

Red robin #12 was a good satisfactory ending for the story arc, but I agree with Keith that last scene was unnecessary.

About Batman & Robin, I didn't see the reveal of the Joker coming. I also think Talia is a bitch for treating his son like that…Actually the song "Mother" by Pink Floy it reminds me of her.

    Anyway keep the good work

  2. the way all the superman titles came together at the end was fantastic. It did sometimes felt that aspects of the Nightwing/Flamebird story were forced in just to tie it to the big story (eg using Rao's body to turn sun red).

one question I have that you guys may be able to help me with! remember in World of New Krypton, Kal-El came across a 'farm' where alien skins were being harvested? did we ever find out why? I was waiting for some use of them in WOS.

great show, gonna start posting here more as the comicforums are so unreliable!

    love the picture, monica.

  3. First things first, Monica that is an awesome picture as the train plays an important part to the podcast. it aint a Podcast with hearing the train.

The WOS ended awesomely. With Chris giving his "life" to save Superman and i feel sorry for Clark and Lois for losing their adopted son but hopefully he will come back at some point. How come Mon-el was in the Phatmon zone? Did the get to read all of LSNK because i couldnt get Supergirl 52 so i didnt pick up the rest. So i have no idea what happened to Mon-el and the Legion.

And the Bat-books have been pretty awesome so far and the last issue of Red Robin was AWESOME as they addressed lots of plot devices Yost set up at the start of the title. I hope the next writer is as good as Yost. I gotta agree with Keith about the last page, it was kinda pointless and i think they only put it in there to help sale the return of Bruce Wayne which am kinda not looking forward as that means Dick wont be Batman anymore and they might kill him off or that might be the reason why they got rid of Chirs Kent so Dick can go back to being Nightwing. Thats just a theory. Sorry for going on so much and i liked the Teen Titans discussion you guys had at the start of Episode and i agree with Mike and Henderson's writing. Its pretty lame. Oh yeah, thanks for saying my name on the Podcast. My brother laughed. Anyways. Keep up the good work

  4. @Monica you train is a hit. It is a bummer about Chris but overall I think he is still going to show up in the future. In all fairness I have enjoyed all the versions of Batgirl. The new Batgirl is awesome and it is consistently one of the best reads month in and month out. Of course I can say that with most books. It is very hard to out think Grant Morrison and I did not see the Joker at all either.

  5. @ Russ The Nightwing and Flamebird in Action was probably my least favorite of the Superman books. It was a good story but I think Rucka really started to lose interest and the Rao story did drag a bit. The love story was pretty cool though. I was kinda disappointed to see Flamebird's sacrifice. Russ I vaguely remember the alien skins but I thought there was a short mention of it but I can't remember what. Thanks for stopping by the web site Russ. The forums have been very unreliable and I think most people contact us through this site or twitter or facebook. Derek is setting us up another Forum on 11'oClock comics forum but I have not had time (because of work) to get any discussions started over there.

  6. @Kyle, sorry I have not made it to the post office yet. Hopefully next week mate. I was slightly confused how Mon-el was in the Phantom Zone as well and he just started appearing in the Justice League of America too. Red Robin started out as one of my least favorite Batbooks but it has really become interesting. Niceiza is going to be writing the book now and if Azrael is any indication then it should be really good. Plus Fabian has a really great track record with me. Should be interesting. I am still waiting for Teen Titans to change writers. I looked at the latest previews and still no change. How about that back up though it is quite interesting with the Teenage magic characters in the spotlight. I am really enjoying that. Glad we can make your brother laugh. 🙂

  7. Its alright Mike. I aint been to the post office either but am going to go on Monday and send off your signed goodies. Am glad on not the only person confused about Mon-el's current status. Speaking of the JLA, i have no idea who's actually on that team right now. I heard StarFire left the team and am guessing Mon-el has left as well. I might have to stop getting that book as its already confusing me. Oh Fabian is writing Red Robin. Well that book is in good hands. The last arc of Robin that he wtote was awesome. I think the Teen Titans are changing writers in September i think or sometime near the end of the year and the new write is going to be JT Krul so hopefully he does a way better job then Henderson because she is pretty lame at writting the characters. Who's writing the Magic spotlight?? Aint the Blue Beetles Girlfriend in that team?? Did the Blue Beetle leave the Teen Titans?

  8. I just listened to this episode and I thought it was great! I am new to the podcast, but I love DC stuff, so this right down my alley. I was curious about the Looney Tunes as Batman characters, JLA, X-Men and FF. Is that a comission that was done? or is that a poster that someone has? Either way, I would be interested in seeing what that looks like because it sounds really cool. Keep up the great work guys and I look forward to future episodes!

  9. Thanks, Bruce! I appreicate the kind words and Mike and I have a blast doing the podcast. Thank you for listening! I think Mike got that as a comission and when thecomicforums.com get back online I believe he will post the picture.

  10. I THINK the JLA at present is only Batman(dick), Donna Troy, Congorilla and Starman. They were the only 4 at the start of the current story (seen training on the satellite). Mon-El hasn't been in it since he returned to the phantom zone in Adventure Comics. Apparently the team rota is sorted at the end of the upcoming JSA crossover.

@mike and keith, looking forward to your thoughts on Brightest Day and JL:Generation Lost!

  11. Thanks Russ for kinda clearing that up. Because i have been collecting that book but i find it kinda hard to follow as they have kinda jumped from one story arc to another without finishing off the last one. its went from Rise and Fall story arc where they was kinda looking for Green Arrow and then jumped straight in to Brightest day and half the roster have disappeared like Mon-el, Gurdian, Cyborg and Starfire. Who do you think is gonna join this "new" JLA?

  12. I think I heard that Robinson is going for variants of the 'classic' JLA so Jade will be the 'Green lantern' and I believe Jesse Quick is the 'Flash.' Supergirl is joining too. So you've got a Batman, Super-person, Wonder Woman (donna), GL and flash. not sure about others.

  13. @Bruce – My Looney Tunes X-men is an original but Darrell Cupps makes prints of all of his work. My Fantastic Four, Justice League and Batman Looney Tunes are prints that I get framed. Thanks for listening and I hope to see you around more often. I will get photos up when our forums are back on line.

  14. @Russ – I am very behind in my Justice League and Brightest Day. I am hoping not to have to work this weekend so I can get some reading done for a change. Hopefully in two weeks you will hear our thoughts on the books.

  15. @Russ – The new variants of the JLA sounds good on paper but i don't know if its going to work. But i could be wrong and it could work and be equal to the Avengers. So Jesse Quick is gonna leave the JSA now?

@Mike – tough break man, not being able to read your books. Hopefully you get to enjoy some comic book delight this weekend.

  16. @Kyle – I am hoping for a four day weekend because I am going to have a ton of hours. I will settle for a 2 day holiday weekend. I would like to get caught up in my reading of DC Comics. The only reading I have done is the X-books which have been really good. I am almost up to Second Coming.

  17. @Mike – Well at least you got your DCBS shippment to look forward to. I should be getting my first DCBS shippment next week. But i guess a 2 day holiday weekend is better then no weekend at all. I think you will love Second Coming. I know that i have said that to you so many times but it will keep you on the edge of your seat and on the Bright side, your up to date with the Bat-books and Superman books. Well at least Podcast wise

  18. @Kyle – I am really looking forward to sitting down and reading some comic books. There is a lot of good stuff on my to read pile.

  19. @Kyle and @Russ I finally read Adventure Comics that told us how Mon-el ended up in the Phantom Zone. It was great. I must have missed reading this particular book in the order that it was intended to be read.

  20. @Mike- Thanks Mike for clearing that up for me and thanks for addressing that on the latest podcast as well. I might have to get the whole last stand when it comes out in trades
